A Stitchy Day

It's always great to have outside speakers and workshops and we have lovely members who volunteer to run workshops for us too. Anyway, yesterday's meeting was just a stitch and natter which is equally as good as planned days. It's great to see what folk are up to and there's a variety of things going on.

We had a committee meeting too and got through a lot of the organising stuff that goes on. The programme is sorted for 2027, do have a look to see what's coming up; I'm really looking forward to the return of Tanya Bentham in January. If you'd like to join us come along, you'd be very welcome. There will be full details at the AGM in September and then the info will be on here.

Membership is up for renewal in September (£30 for the year - bargain!) and we're sorry to hear a long time member, Jill, won't be continuing due to other commitments. Jill has been an incredible member and has covered many roles over the years; her knowledge and contributions have been a real asset so we will miss her, but wish her well and she's invited to the Christmas Jacob's Join.

So, here's a little run through of what some members are up to.

This is a gorgeous quilt Sue E has made (pesky chair got in the way and I didn't notice!)

This very pretty (check out the crafty creek blog, Margaret is doing a project from Pretty Fabrics & Trims)

Phenology wheel coming along

This is a Nicki Franklin pattern
