🎄Christmas Social🎄

Today was our Christmas social and Jacob's Join lunch. We had a lovely time having a chat and catching up with everyone's plans for Christmas and the New Year.

In memory of Christine Bostock we awarded Christine's Christmas Prizes, voting by coin. We had a three way tie for first so we split the three prizes equally between the winners - Sally M, Margaret C and Carolyn R; everyone's work was lovely and it's hard choosing between them all. Here's the entries and the three winners.

The winners:

Carolyn's book cover is embroidered with animals from the 1517 Capirola Lute Book (she plays!). Copies of the book's music scores are inside but the cover is a stunning compilation of the illustrations inside.

Margaret brought another of her gorgeous cross stitched books; this one featured birds and blooms. Beautiful as always.

Sally's contribution was from the altered playing card challenge with the mixed media pieces housed in a woven binding handmade book.
