Textilia 3 Exhibition: Limelight

LIMELIGHT Sat, 5 July 2025 - Sat, 13 September 2025 The Folly, Settle, North Yorkshire

Inspired by the breathtaking industrial architecture of abandoned Lime Kilns at Langcliffe, Limelight is an exhibition of new work by Textilia 3, a group of Yorkshire-based textile artists including some of our members.

The story is one of transformation: turning the limestone rock into quicklime for agriculture, the industrialisation of the process in the shape of the majestic Hoffmann Kiln and then, once spent, the gradual reclamation of the site by nature. These themes and ideas of life cycles, regeneration and reclamation suffuse the artists’ work.

Well worth a visit and just 20 minutes from Skipton with a lovely cafe to boot.
